At Wyndham Primary Academy we have introduced teaching with iPads.  In order to engage their pupils further we have introduced Digital Leaders.Digital Leaders are pupils who have an interest in the technology and are willing to help others make the most from it.  To become a Digital Leader the pupils applied using an application form. The successful candidates then had an interview style meeting where they were asked questions about why they wanted to become a Digital Leader as well as how they will help other people with the iPads.

Our Digital Leader program is much in line with the national view of spreading knowledge of technology around schools thus encouraging a more confident application of IT in the classroom. We have formed an enthusiastic team of digital leaders, made up of staff and pupils. As Staff, we seek to continually build on our knowledge of using iPads in education through following schools, teachers, academics and developers on social networks.

A main duty of our digital leaders is that they work with teachers to help spread the word about how various apps can be used in the classroom. This works through Digital leaders communicating with teachers about all the Apps they've learnt about in our sessions, or working with the teacher to identify key areas where apps could be implemented.

On Wednesday 12th March 2014 we had a visit from a film crew from South Korea, click here for more details.

We have recently purchased the Wyndham Waves Radio Station. Pupils and staff have been showcasing their work around school. We have created our own songs, radio adverts, interviews and much more.
